Captain Amelia Kerr leads a strong, balanced squad. The 25-year-old has already played 91 T20Is for the Blackcaps, in which she has scored 1636 runs at a strike rate of 114.65 and taken 99 wickets at an economy of 6.05. She’s key with both bat and ball.

The opening pair features exciting youngster Isabella Gaze alongside veteran Suzie Bates, who returns to the T20I squad for the first time since March 2025. Bates brings massive experience of playing 177 T20Is and scored 4716 runs at a 108.59 strike rate.

The middle order is packed with quality players like all-rounder Sophie Devine, who is also making a return to the side after March 2025. She brings a wealth of experience from playing 146 T20Is and scoring 3431 runs and taking 119 wickets, while Maddy Green and Brooke Halliday add stability and firepower.

Ayabonga Khaka is the leading pace bowler for the South Africa women’s team. The 33-year-old pacer has taken 62 wickets in 75 matches at an economy rate of 6.79. Tumi Sekhukhune is also likely to play in this match and partner Khaka, who has 38 wickets in 39 T20I matches to her name. 

Left-arm orthodox spin bowler Nonkululeko Mlaba is one of the key spin bowlers in the Proteas squad. The 25-year-old has already established herself as one of the important members of the side and has taken 60 wickets in 68 T20Is. She is an all-phase bowler and can bowl in the powerplays too, despite being a spinner.
