Brisbane Heat Women (BH-W) will take on Melbourne Renegades Women (MR-W) in Match 6 of the ongoing Women’s Big Bash League 2024 at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on October 30.

The Jess Jonassen-led Heat played their season opener against Adelaide Strikers Women and clinched a four-wicket victory. Opting to field first, Heat restricted the opposition to 133/5 in their allotted 20 overs. In the chase, it was Charli Knott’s unbeaten 44-run knock that sealed the game and helped them open their account in the points tally.

On the other hand, Renegades took on Sydney Sixers in their opener and suffered a narrow three-wicket defeat even after posting a healthy 178 in the first innings. The Sophie Molineux-led side couldn’t restrict the opposition and received their first loss of the season owing to a poor bowling display.
