The much-anticipated India’s tour of South Africa gets underway with the two sides locking horns on Sunday, December 10, in the first T20I, at Kingsmead, Durban.
South Africa will be led by Aiden Markram while Suryakumar Yadav is in charge of the Indian contingent. The Proteas will be stepping onto the field for the first time after their heartbreaking semi-final defeat against Australia. Markram was in good form during the ODI World Cup 2023 and also smashed a century off just 49 balls in a game against Sri Lanka. Markram’s wicket would be vital for India.
Probable Best Bowler: Ravi Bishnoi
The young wrist-spinner was in excellent form during the T20I series against Australia. He bagged nine wickets in five games at an average of 18.22 and an economy rate of 8.20 on high-scoring pitches. Bishnoi’s bag of tricks would be tough for the South African batters to pick. He also bowls at high speeds and that could make stroke-making difficult for the opposition batters.
