A new T20 cricket league is on the horizon as Kerala is set to host the first edition of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) starting from 2nd September. The inaugural match of the tournament will be played between the Alleppey Ripples and Thrissur Titans.

Alleppey Ripples, a team based out of Alappuzha city in Kerala, will be one of the participants in the Kerala T20 Cricket League. They will be led by the well-known Kerala cricketer Mohammed Azharuddeen, who will also serve as the captain for the team in this inaugural season.

Their opponents, Thrissur Titans, hail from Thrissur in Kerala and are set to feature in the first edition of the Kerala Cricket League.
