Ireland Women vs Sri Lanka Women Match Prediction, 3rd ODI - Who will win today’s match?

MATCH: Ireland Women vs Sri Lanka Women
DATE: August 20 Sunday
TIME: 3:15 pm IST
VENUE: Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast
TOURNAMENT: 3rd ODI 2024

The final ODI of the three-match series between Ireland Women and Sri Lanka Women will be played at the Civil Service Cricket Club on August 20, 2024.

Before the commencement of the ODI series, even the most optimistic Irish supporters wouldn’t have expected to come even close to giving Sri Lanka Women a run for their money, let alone win two on the spin.

Ireland Women, currently ranked 11th in the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings, have won both their games in the series, which were also their first couple of victories against the islanders in the 50-over format.

With the series in the bag and the third ODI to be played within a gap of 24 hours from the second one, a few changes might be expected in the XIs of both the sides. However, there might also be a possibility of the teams sticking with their squads to maintain momentum.

Probable Playing XIs

Ireland Women: Sarah Forbes, Christina Coulter Reilly, Amy Hunter (wk), Orla Prendergast (c), Leah Paul, Rebecca Stokell, Arlene Kelly, Jane Maguire, Alana Dalzell, Freya Sargent, Aimee Maguire

Sri Lanka Women: Vishmi Gunaratne, Chamari Athapaththu (c), Harshitha Samarawickrama, Kavisha Dilhari, Anushka Sanjeewani (wk), Hasini Perera, Nilakshi de Silva, Sachini Nisansala, Sugandika Kumari, Achini Kulasuriya, Udeshika Prabhodini

Barring the two T20Is against Sri Lanka Women in which she returned wicketless, the all-rounder has been exceptional with the ball. Ever since the Women’s Asia Cup, Dilhari has been on a wicket-taking spree, and would be expected to deliver another noteworthy performance.
