Bangladesh fans will be counting on Soumya Sarkar with all his experience of playing international cricket since 2014. He has 2338 runs in 79 ODI matches. Najmul Hossain Shanto would be another prominent name with 1705 runs in 58 ODI matches under his belt.

Pakistan are coming into this series after they were eliminated from the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup 2026. The fallout from their disappointing campaign has been clearly visible in their squad for the Bangladesh ODI series.

The Pakistan team squad for the series includes wholesale changes, and six potential debutants have been included in the 15-member squad. Among those who have been axed from the squad are star batter Babar Azam and Saim Ayub.
