MATCH: Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians
DATE: Apr 27, 2024
TIME: 15:30 IST / 10:00 GMT

VENUE: Arun Jaitley Stadium – New Delhi, India

TOURNAMENT: IPL 2024

Delhi Capitals (DC) continue their ongoing IPL 2024 campaign by taking on Mumbai Indians (MI). Both sides will lock horns at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, in game 43 on Saturday, April 27. The last time these two sides faced each other was at the Wankhede stadium for the 20th match of the season which MI won by 29 runs.

With four wins and five losses, DC finds itself in the sixth position in the standings. Though the side had a shaky start, they still are in contention for qualifying for the playoffs. The Delhi-based franchise is coming off a narrow four-run win over Gujarat Titans. However, the side will aim to climb the table with a win against Mumbai.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians sit in eighth place in the standings with three wins in eight matches. The five-time champion side’s campaign has looked terrible, and they will aim to improve with a win and hopefully climb the standings, staying in the race for the playoffs. The Hardik Pandya-led side is coming off a nine-wicket defeat against the Rajasthan Royals in their last game.

Pitch Report:

The pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is helpful for spin bowling, as the surface is on the slower side, assisting the spinners. However, the short boundaries offer batters an opportunity to go for their shots and score runs at a faster pace. Considering these conditions, electing to field first after winning the toss could be an ideal decision.
