Both Rangpur Riders (RAN) and Sylhet Strikers (SYL) will aim to return to winning ways after suffering a defeat in their opening game of the BPL 2024. Mohammad Mithun and Zakir Hasan did well for Sylhet in the last match but their bowling unit let them down. Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Nazmul Islam and Benny Howell leaked ten or more runs per over, as Chattogram Challengers defeated them by seven wickets. 

Coming to Rangpur, their batting unit failed to deliver in the last match. Shamim Hossain and Mehidy Hasan showed some intent but could not take their team to a defendable total. The bowlers however have done a good job, with Shakib Al Hasan and Hasan Murad picking up two wickets each. However, they need to regroup and work on getting better with the bat.
